- The game release date for japan is July 31st, 2008.
- The game will cost 6800yen.
- Our heroine has been confirmed as *NOT* being Mio. (Nor is her name Yoru Tachibana...)
- Her name is Ruka Minazuki.

Years later, 2 of the five girls have died, out of the three (Ruka, Misaki & Madoka) leave for the island of Rougetsu-tou where the incident occurred.
What could have happened there? In search of her lost memory, Ruka heads to Rougetsu-tou once more.
Note: According to
1up.com's translation, all five girls are part of the Minazuki family.
THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND - Rougetsu-touThe stage of the kidnapping incident. History/location of the island is unknown, but on the island is a mansion with strange masks put on display.
Currently, Ruka is the only 'listed' main character, however, this doesn't mean that Misaki & Madoka might not play a part someway (especially if their first names have already been mentioned). So it's possible that Kikuchi-san's early reports of having 'twice as many characters as the last game' could still happen here. (Especially when we're dealing with 5 girls and a detective!)
GAMEPLAYIt seems as there will be a few differences in gameplay for this latest installment. The game will make use out of the Wii-mote (given Suda 51's uses in No More Heroes, I cannot WAIT!...I hope we get phone calls on it!) The viewpoint seems to have changed...there's specualtion from the famitsu editors that we're possibly playing the game from behind the main character's back (like RE4)?
