I am having trouble getting the patch to work on HBC. When I click to run the patch my screen going muti colored and nothing happens. Any ideas? I have no idea what to do. T-T Mio Alt G Outfit

hey.. 1st THANK YOU!!!!

now.. I did not saw this info: I saw the pic of how your SD card should look.. and I have a question: Does the SD card that I use need to have JUST these files... I ask bc I ahve all my wiiware and some VC games there.. the pic that is posted here do not who anything else but this DLs from here. So: does it have to be an exclusive SD card? and if so no: who should I place/distribute my others files??

Katsushirolover - check out http://zero4.higashinoeden.com/help/trouble.html first. If you still are not having any luck, come online to the live chat at http://ta.gd/zero4 - when we around, we will make every effort to get you going.

Chang - You can have any files BUT Wiiware, VC Games and Wii saves. If you have those, please rename your private folder to something like privateold before putting the private folder we distribute on your SD card. Any other files are fine, as long as you use ONLY our private folder. I use my SD card for my camera, for other Wii homebrew apps, for general storage, blah blah.

Thank you for the patch!

Something weird has happened in chapter 4, though. I saved after using the elevator to reach the 3rd floor and saved, as Ruka. When I reloaded the save I was now playing the dude from chapter 3... >__>

This never happened when I played the game in Japanese and I'm using the patch without costumes, so I have no idea how this would have happened.

OK, if anyone comes across a link to it being sold with the patch applied, report it here or straight to Tempus. Because if someone is making money out of our hard work, I want to know about it, and seeing as Tempus has a Creative Commons licence for the patch, I'm sure he does too. Under no circumstances is this to be sold commercially.

Nobody is selling it anywhere. I do find it funny how people who reverse engineer a Wii game (totally illegal) and accept donations for it are so concerned with questionable things other people are doing...but that's just me. I'm extremely grateful for your hard work and don't mean as much offense as it probably sounds, I just find people in certain scenes like this hypocritical.

If you can’t tell the difference between accepting donations for work you’ve done but are freely offering and receiving paid income for something you did not lift a finger to do, then I have nothing more to say to you. That’s to say nothing of the difference in scale between payments and donations.

The bottom line is - our hard work is not something for some opportunist to make a couple hundred dollars off of. You would feel no different if someone stole the home you made for Habitat for Humanity or the meals you were feeding to the poor and sold them for a chunk of money. The translated patch content is under a Creative Content license - you can share it for free as you will, or change it using the tools. You can resell your commercial game as usual - you can even link to the patch in your commercial ad and say “Fatal Frame 4 game, free English patch available”. You just can’t sell the patch.

1. As stated, there is a difference between 'donations' and having people PAY for the patch. donations are voluntary, and they were put up because people were asking Tempus & Co in _THIS_ forum, if they would put them up so they could contribute towards their hard work.

2. A majority of the people who worked on the patch will never see any of the donation money. It's split between the 3-4 people who worked on the majority of programming & translation - and that's fair guys... they spent a lot of their free time and effort making this all possible..and they also spent their own money towards a game series that some of them never played before this point.. (I'm personally not seeing any of it. I worked on this project, like starla, because I gave a damn about the games and wanted people to enjoy the games. That's all I care about.)

3. There's a difference between seeing people do 'questionable' things with the patch - which sucks, still hurts, and honestly.. I am amused by people who do 'questionable' things thanking the same people who worked hard to make the patch 'honest'... AND... doing 'questionable' things with the patch and making money off of it. Aka, don't make money off of our hard work!! Ultimately, regardless of receiving donation funds or not, people did this, spent time on this, and worked hard because they gave a damn.

But yeah, difference between 'questionable things' for no money versus 'questionable things' for money.

(I am in no way endorsing using the patch by any means other than with a RETAIL copy of the game, and any support, talk, etc of such will result in banning - and I've already done it.. so I won't hesitate.)

Well, well, once again, thanls for all to all the people who did this possible. I just got my game from Playasia on the mail today (yipee!!)

so right now my only question is: I downloaded the patch on January 18 and I own a PAL Wii since launch day (updated to 4.2 and never ever modded), Do  have to download anything more? Has been any update? I'm runningto get a fast SD card this afternoon as soon as they reopen shops Cheesy

Oh, OK, sorry, didn't noticed the cell phone was set to 5MP, my bad. Btw I have it going on with the patch althought I had to sacrifice the Costumes Pack Sad. Thank you all for your hard work, I'm helping on Spanish translation and even with the tools it's labour for ants, so I can picture about your efforts on this, thanks again, it looks like an English game.

My last backup is February 2nd. After that date, my backup script stopped working because I did some stuff on my computer - it just silently failed.

It could be one of several things:

- Temporary suspension due to bandwidth overages
- Account expired and the host did not notify me
- Domain expired (…no, I guess not)
- Terminated by the US’s stupid 3 strike rules
- Server migration and files got misplaced


I’m still waiting for word on it.

Hey guys,

Tempus contacted me yesterday telling me that everything was gone. I have not received any notifications whatsoever, nor does my admin panel tell me I have any notifications. I contacted support twice yesterday, and still waiting for a reply. I'll find out what's going on and get it back up as soon as I can.

I am so sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Nothing's permanently gone.

Either one of two things will happen:

1) I'll contact them and get my access back.
2) I'll contact them, get a backup and then move to different hosting.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to move though, because freezing my account without any warning is just a douche move.
