If the game runs but doesn’t patch to English, there are three options:

1) You put something in the wrong place, or forgot something.
2) You accidentally set the patch to “Disable”
3) You aren’t running it through our loader.

Hey there! I just barely joined the forums for the sole purpose of expressing my delight over the patch being released. Thank you guys SO much for everything!! I'm a bit of a Fatal Frame newbie (finished ff2 a couple months ago and started ff3 last week. Can't seem to find ff1 at my local gamestop..grrs) but I was sad when I found out the latest installment was doomed to never see state side. I can't even imagine how much work and effort went into making it. You guys are friggin' awesome. Cheesy

No problems or glitches so far but I'm only about an hour and a half in (I'm putting gameplay vids up on youtube as I go). Does anybody know of a site where I can find translations of the ghost chatter? Don't get me wrong, they're pretty damn creepy even without knowing what they're saying but it'd still be nice to know.

Hey Forlorn! Lol I've seen your playthroughs on youtube (I actually have been posting them in the playthrough section!)

Right now, there isn't.. the group that's doing the voice overs for the patch has that information, but at the moment there isn't anywhere that has the direct translations of what they are saying at this time. (That I know of anyways).

WOW! Amazing work guys! I've been out here checking almost every day the past months, and now it is available. This makes me and hopefully all of us very happy Smiley You've done a great work everyone involved, and soon, very soon I can enjoy Project Zero 4 with my own senses. This'll be fantastic. Thank you yet again from the bottom of my heart. Hope everything works out fine with the installation though Tongue

Found some more grammatical errors:
- In the library, examining the shelf "...the names are below each each mask"
- 2nd Floor Nurse's Log 2 "her pet canary had had"
- Chart: Asagi Hizuki "She has diagnosis is"
- The text in the breaker room puzzle (23) to power the elevator in Ch. 4 is squished and illegible.

That one's correct. It's the pluperfect of "to have". Smiley

Ah, I see. It makes a lot more sense if you read it out loud.

Reminds me of the grammatically correct sentence: "The boss she had had, had had enough of her."

I registered just to tell everyone who worked on this patch:

Thank you so much for all your hard work! I'm a huge fan of Fatal Frame 1 and 2 (still haven't played the third one, unfortunately), and was really bummed when I found out that the fourth would not be coming to America. I'll be placing an order for this game on Play-Asia some time tomorrow, and I can't wait to play it!

Again, thank you!

So how exactly do the costumes work? Are they optional and you can switch them on and off. Are they an extra you can select in the options? Or do they just replace the default costumes? I assume the translation team made them? I would just try it out but I don't have my import yet, lol.

Wow I'm also surprised It's out already. Heh I was a day late. Figures, the day I forget to check, it gets released lol. Anyways wow, fantastic job guys! The custom HBC loader is top notch and the translation is great so far, though I did Lol at the 'No save data fpund' screen. I mean it's the first game screen I see and there's a slight typo xD, but I see how it was missed as you only see that screen once lest you delete your data.

HUGE thanks to all who worked on the patch, I'm really enjoying this game so far! God I want to find the other FF's more than ever now.

Wonderful. I wait one day to get paid so that I can order the game from Play-Asia, and it sells out overnight. I am now in despair!

EDIT: I bit the bullet and ordered from HimeyaShop. $96 total... this game better be worth it.

Just wanted to add my voice to all those here congratulating the patch team and expressing how amazing this really is!  I'm still in shock that the patch is real and I am currently playing a game that I thought for sure I sadly never would.  Once again:  excellent job to all involved, I really can't praise your efforts enough!

On a side note, I want to mention my favorite ghost name so far:

I had to stop playing for five minutes after I saw that because I was laughing so hard!  I don't know if that is a direct translation or what, but that description is absolutely perfect.

I was wondering... why there's an option to disable the end song?

I think it means "disabled" plays the original Japanese version of the song (since "Enabled" plays the English one).

Congrats go out to all of you who worked on this patch. You spent a lot of free time i'm sure (and you made play-asia.com sell out of the game).

Now that that's out of the way, just wanted to say it stings a bit to keep reading "Wiimote". The controller is actually officially called "Wii Remote". Unfortunately, this just keeps tinging me as a fan translation to see it Sad. Anyways, mainly just thought I'd let you know incase you make a patchv2. Now I'm off to play some more.

Huge thanks to your entire team by yet another fan. It is astounding how much dedicated work you have put into this patch just to make others happy, and also how much help you have been in the days after its release with all the people having trouble and questions. Thanks again for everything and I wish you all the best for your future.

I just want to say, you guys are brilliant. Just tested it myself and it works like a charm - the only errors I found were of my own making. Thank you ever so much.
