The patch is always inactive unless you use our loader to play the game. There is no need to deactivate it. There is no reason for it to ever cause the issues you describe. The Wii naturally shuts down to a standby state because of the Wii Connect 24 feature. Either that, or you are not holding down the button long enough.

The save game for the patch is fully 100% compatible with the original save, and will work on any region of Wii.

I dunno, my brother and Dad told me it was acting weird, but I don't think it ever happened with me. Whatever the problem was, if there was one, I think it's fixed now. Thanks though =)

Um, hey, I have a quick question that I looked around but couldn't find an answer too... Yesterday I ordered the game online, so I'm finally getting it, but my question is about the SD card. I bought on of the SD cards you can buy for the Wii, and I planned to use that. But I already have quite a few Wii Shop games saved on it. Does it have to be a clean memory card used to play Fatal Frame 4? Thanks for any help in advance

It doesn't strictly have to be clean, just have about 1GB of free space. It's much easier to have a separate SD card though, if you're not up to installing the Riivolution channel or Homebrew Channel (both of which will allow you to use your games like normal, as well as the patch). This is because you will need a PC each time to switch between using the patch, or playing those games you have on SD.

Oh! Thanks so much, yeah, I'll pick up a ten dollar SD card then for this.
