Kageri Sendou's doll/playmate that she pushes around in a wheelchair during Fatal Frame IV. Watashi is a representation of Kageri Sendou's twin sister, Kaoru Sendou, who died in an accident. Kageri, never truly getting over the loss of her twin, had a doll created in Kaoru's likeness. Pushing the doll around in her red wheelchair, Kageri would take her on a daily walk around the island.
Fatal Frame IVRuka in the courtyard of Rougetsu Hall. Ruka, thinking she was real, tried to touch her and was attacked by her owner, Kageri Sendou. She is later fought by herself in Room 311. When Misaki attempts to leave the room, the coffin opens to reveal Watashi. Defeating her will cause Kaoru Sendou's Will to appear in the coffin where Watashi was.
- Watashi is used as a pronoun in the Japanese language, signifying 'I'. It can also have the deeper meanings of 'personal' or 'private'.
- Watashi's body and face seem to be covered in marks like peeling paint, that appear to be similar to the marks on the mannequin in Kageri's room.
- Whilst with Kageri, Watashi is the only ghost not to be pushed back by any shot (including a Fatal Frame), instead continuing to attack, and during this time doesn't have an alarm sequence.
- Kageri's relationship with Watashi is similar to the relationship between Akane Kiryu from Fatal Frame II and her doll, also created to replace a dead twin.
