Twin Houses

Another name for the Kiryu and Tachibana Houses of Minakami Village. They play a role in the preparation of Twin Shrine Maidens and Altar Twins for the Crimson Sacrifice Ritual. They also are used as living quarters for the twins until the day of the ceremony.
The design of the houses was also symbolic, as they were connected by a bridge above (Heaven bridge) and a cavern beneath (Earth Bridge), similar to the twins' spiritual and physical connection to each other. According to the Crimson Dream story in the Zero 3 Comic Anthology, when twins stayed here, they took the surname 'Futago' (twin), e.g. Musubi Futago, Sae Futago and Mutsuki Futago.
