One of the ghosts encountered in Fatal Frame IV. He was recruited by the Haibaras to guard the Shrine of Mourning.
When Sakuya Haibara broke out of the basement shrine in 1972, Masanobu, along with the other guards, fled to the tunnels beneath Rougetsu Island in an attempt to escape her. However, he was trapped and killed by Sakuya; like the others that fled it is never stated exactly how he died, though it is likely he died of Blooming.
Misc. Info
- Masanobu carries a long pole and usually attacks alongside the other masked shrine guards. However, he is the only member of the group to be fought alone, appearing in the basement path leading to the shrine he guarded while alive.
