I received a letter from Mr. Makabe that said I should leave the village and return home before him. Yae and Sae brought the letter here.

They told me that outsiders cannot stay because the festival is coming soon.

Mr. Makabe has special permission to see it.

I whispered to Yae that I would come for them on the day of the ceremony.

Yae tensed for a moment, then acted like she didn't hear, and left. It seems they may really be planning to leave before the ceremony occurs.

That means Itsuki must still be somewhere in the village too.

I received a letter from Mr Makabe. It requested that I leave Minakami Village and return home.
The letter was delivered by Yae and Sae, and I was able to talk to them for the first time.
They told me that the next festival will be starting soon. It would appear that only local people are allowed to be in the village when the festival is taking place, and that I have to leave.
Mr Makabe would appear to have been granted special dispensation to observe the proceedings.

Before they left, I whispered into Yae's ear that I would come and meet them on the day of the festival, just as Itsuki had asked in his letter.
Yae's eyes lit up, but she acted like she hadn't heard anything and headed home.
If Itsuki is going to help them, he must still be somewhere in this village...
