Fatal Frame II has four possible endings. The fourth ending was added in the xbox edition of the game.

• Lingering Scent Ending
• Crimson Butterfly Ending
• Hellish Abyss Ending
• Promise Ending (Xbox only)

According to Fatal Frame Series continuity, as proven by the events of Fatal Frame III, the Crimson Butterfly Ending is the canon ending for this game. (However, it can be argued that the Lingering Scent ending also matches the criteria to be a canon ending).

Misc. Info

• The Lingering Scent Ending does not actually count as finishing the game, counting instead as a Game Over, but it is officially listed as a possible 'ending' to the game, hence why it is included as an ending here.
