Mio Amakura (天倉 澪) the 15 year old younger twin protagonist of Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly. Aside from Miku Hinasaki, she is one of the most popular characters in the series. She was first introduced to the series when her and her older twin sister Mayu were spirited away into the Lost Village. After escaping from Minakami Village, Mio was taken care of by her uncle Kei Amakura until the effects of the Tattooed Curse began to effect her, rendering her hospitalized. Even though her fate is unknown after the events of Fatal Frame III: The Tormented, it didn't stop (false) rumors from spreading about her being in the fourth game, or hoping that her fate will be revealed.
